Why Luui?
You probably use online videos – mostly YouTube – for guidance on everything from laying a foundation to applying foundation. it’s kind of what we do now.
But YouTube isn’t aimed at delivering great learning experiences; it’s aimed at delivering eyeballs to advertisers. If you’re on YouTube to kill time doing laundry, fine. But learning isn’t laundry.
We built Luui because we deserved better. And so do you.
Luui Basics
Here’s a sampling of the features we build into Luui to make it richer, better, and more effective.
This isn’t exhaustive, but it gets you started. Luui also has features for testing, a model use in classrooms based on an idea called AWM.
Luui is based on a matching tool called Areas of Interest, (AOI), that actively seeks courses based on a multi factor interest profiles that is also used in the aggregate to help course creators decide what there’s demand for.
Luui incorporates a course builder tool that provides you with the tools to build your own courses that can be distributed via the Luui app. Luui courses aren’t edited videos, so you might never have to use a video editor to get your skills across again.
Luui Feature
Courses are composed of one or more chapters
You find what you want to learn, or review, quick. Courses have a structure; you can do one part in the afternoon, and another the next morning, ad find your way to where you were.
Solution to?
Luui Feature
Made up of multiple short clips
Benefit?
Focus! Each clip in Luui is only as long as that skill requires. And any clip or group of clips can be played in a loop, so you can sit, watch, and figure it out.
Luui Feature
Looping,
You can loop clips, and right away it makes it easier to focus in on what matters. But even better, you can add inpoints and outpoints to any clip, and just figure out the one pesky detail that you’re not quite getting.
And so?
Luui Feature
Modular
Let’s say the course you’re starting is more than you want to take on. Simple: you can just grab whatever chapter you want to try. That’s true if some of a course is stuff you think is a bit too basic. In Luui, you customize the experience to suit how you want to learn.

Rich Resources for Learning
Video is a great way to learn. But video is better when you can bring other data to bear. Like text. Or still images. Or links to further information for when you want to go deeper. Or links to downloads, like starter projects from a document in an editing course, or a 3D landscape for your course of 3D Game Dev.

Luui Feature
Updatable
On YouTube, videos hit a point where they lose value. That could be because they’re discussing a product that’s no longer available, showing a technique that’s obsolete, or maybe the creator just misspoke.
Luui creators can update each individual clip, which means that they can keep their courses current. As a learner, you get those updates, and Luui alerts you whet it happens.
